another day another girly room inspo featuring a bunch of ikea items.

we're moving soon so I've decided to follow my pinterest loving dreams and design our bedroom incorporating the above items. my husband thinks it's too feminine (it is) but add a gray wall and some black and white pictures of our babies (current and future) and I really think he'll love it. it's 100% not his style and frankly we don't agree on practically anything home design wise but he lets me do what I want because he's an awesome hubby :) I spend a lot of time at home and I clean every. single. day. (I do actually enjoy it) so living in a space I love is important. hopefully that doesn't sound too selfish...

white curtains that I plan on painting gray stripes
2 lamps on each nightstand-black base, white shade
white picture frames w/b&w pictures
some kind of rug-have yet to find THE one

black jeans

lately the only pair of jeans that fit my baby growing belly are a pair of black jeans I got at h&m last winter. I know many won't agree but in my opinion they are hard to style. maybe I'm just not used to wearing them but to me they can come off as cheap? so to fix that, my solution is to pair them with quality fabrics like cashmere and thick knits. sorry about all the sweaters but it snowed here yesterday so no, these are not about to be put away in my state.

 

to cross them over to spring throw on a light trench instead of coat and strappy heels instead of boots. you go ahead though, I'll be over here drinking hot chocolate.

I have to start out with the top image. Birkenstocks with socks? Honestly, I love it. MK&A have always done their own thing regardless if it's considered a fashion "no-no". Plus, it's quite practical for airport security, no?

 

Now for MK's bundled up look. It's still chilly in MN so excuse my excuse to post a coat. Love the slim silhouette, aviators and pulled back hair.

 

Before we say goodbye, do take note of the vintage Cartier engagement ring peeking out of the oversized sleeve.
